About this course

Course syllabus

Module 1
Managing Spatial Databases with QGIS: This module focuses on the management and use of spatial databases within QGIS. Learners will discover how to connect to, query, and edit PostGIS, SpatiaLite, and GeoPackage databases using the Browser panel and the DB Manager.
Module 2
Advanced Vector and Raster Spatial Analysis: This module dives into the analytical core of QGIS, covering advanced vector operations, raster terrain analysis, and integration with external providers like GDAL and GRASS. Learners will gain hands-on experience with the Processing Toolbox to solve real-world spatial problems.
Module 3
Automating Workflows and Producing Decision-Grade Cartography: This module covers two pillars of the QGIS Analyst profile: the automation of geoprocessing workflows through the Model Designer and batch processing, and the production of professional cartographic outputs using the Print Layout, Atlas, and Report tools.
Final Project
Complete QGIS Analyst Case Study: In this capstone project, you take on the role of a professional QGIS Analyst commissioned by a local authority to conduct a comprehensive spatial suitability study.
